Sony’s flagship device, and probably one of the best Android devices available right now, Sony Xperia Z Ultra (unlocked) will be available for sale in Hong Kong for a whopping HK$6,198 (almost $800). According to Sony Mobile Hong Kong, the device will hit the shelves by the end of this month, followed by Taiwan in August. LTE version of the device is expected to go on sale in September for almost $824, the same time when the device will debut in UK at a few retailers with an expected price tag of £599.

The device features a massive 6.4 inch Full HD display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera, 3,000 mAh battery, 16GB internal storage and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It is also one of the first smartphones to feature the all-powerful, Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz.

Is it the right time to buy the Xperia Z Ultra? I will definitely say “No”. I think all those users who are thinking of getting their hands on this quad-core beast should wait till September, as many other handsets are expected to see the light of the day at IFA 2013, including Galaxy Note III, LG G2, and not to forget, Sony’s next big thing, Xperia i1 Honami.

Rest is your decision. If you have some extra cash lying around that you want to spend somewhere, go ahead and get this beast. There is no denying to the fact that you will not regret your purchase but having a few options is always good.
