At a media drive program in Britain for the 2014 Range Rover Sport, Company Land Rover confirmed plans to begin sales in India before Diwali. Recently, 2014 Range Rover Sport was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in March 2013. However out of five variants of the Range Rover Sport available in UK, only two variants will make their way into India. Both these variants will come to India via CBU (completely built unit). These will include the 3 litre V6 diesel offering 292 PS power and 600 Nm torque and a 5 litre V8 supercharged petrol offering 510 PS power and 625 Nm torque. Both engines will be mated to an 8 speed ZF transmission via 4 WD system.
2014 Range Rover Sport interior is as stunning and functional as ever, with Meridian audio system, 8” touchscreen infotainment interface and Land Rover Terrain Response 2 traction system, a new optional heads up display, many driver oriented controls, a lower driving position and a higher centre console. It maintains the elegant and sporty feel of the car, and with a lot of panache. Also the company is projecting the 2014 Range Rover Sport as a family car with three rows of comfortable seating.
