The booming dual-SIM market in India lured several international manufacturers to take the plunge. Samsung was followed by HTC who unveiled its beautifully crafted, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered Desire VC in the market for Rs 19,000.

The Desire VC comes with a Dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) functionality, with both the SIM cards capable of being active simultaneously. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, a powerful 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor coupled with 512MB RAM, an impressive 5-megapixel camera, Beats audio technology and 1650 mAh battery life. The internal memory stands at 4 GB which can be expanded to 32 GB using a micro SD card.




2. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos

Priced at Rs 11900, Samsung's budget Android Gingerbread smartphone continues to be a hot favorite among the dual-SIM buyers. Fueled by Qualcomm MSM 7627 Turbo 800MHz and ESC6270 processors, the device sports a 3.5-inch TFT HVGA screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

There is a 512 MB of RAM to ensure the seamless and smooth running of apps. Laced with Samsung’s own Touchwiz, the device is embedded with a impressive 5-megapixel camera.

The lightweight device supports an internal memory of 3 GB which can be expanded to 32 GB using Micro SD card. Intex has also stepped in the popular Android dual-SIM market with Aqua 4.0. The Android 2.3 powered device sports a 3.5-inch screen with a 480×320 pixels resolution. Under the hood the device packs in a 800 MHz processor, 3-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera to initiate video calling and chatting.

Lemon Mobiles Trio 323 is another offering in this segment. The java powered device brings on board a 2.2-inch screen with a multistep keypad. It also houses a 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording to take pictures on the go, bluetooth and 8GB expandable memory. The device also boasts of a solid battery backup which includes 8 hrs of talk time and 260 hrs of standby time.

7. Nokia C2-00

The Finnish brand brings its popular and pocket friendly phone offering a dual-SIM solution along with GSM+ CDMA capabilities with Nokia C2-00. Allowing you to juggle your calls and manage data across two networks, the stylish device comes fitted with a  1.8-inch TFT display. Weighing just 118g, Nokia C2-03 offers talk time of up to five hours, and standby time up to 400 hours, with the music playback time up to 35 hours - which is simply amazing.
