Bajaj launches KTM 390 Duke

Mumbai: Bajaj Auto Ltd, India’s second largest motorcycle maker, launched the KTM 390 Duke motorbike in Pune on Tuesday, its second offering in the local market made in partnership with Austria’s KTM Power Sports AG.




Bookings for the bike, priced at Rs1.8 lakh in Delhi, starts on 26 June.
The Pune-based firm sold 8,500 KTM Duke 200 motorcycles in 2012. The firm brands bikes as premium if they cost more than Rs1 lakh. The Duke 200 costs Rs 1.17 lakh.




Bajaj Auto builds the bikes under license from KTM Power Sports, in which it holds a 47% stake. KTM plans to launch three new street bikes over the next year, it said in February. Bajaj sells KTM bikes through a network of 70 dealers.
