HTC is said to be working on a new device dubbed as the HTC Zara, if rumours are to be believed. The alleged specifications of the HTC Zara smartphone have surfaced online.
Tech site, LlabTooFer has leaked purported specifications of the mysterious smartphones.
The alleged specifications of HTC Zara include a 4.5-inch qHD display. The device is likely to be powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It is said to sport HTC's proprietary UltraPixel camera that features 4-megapixel lens and a 1.6-megapixel front camera. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage with microSD card support. It is likely to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 on top of the OS.
A few days back, @evleaks posted on Twitter that the Taiwanese major is expected to shortly launch a device that will borrow features from the high-end One series and mid-range Desire series of smartphones. The tweet said "HTC Zara is supposedly a mashup of the One and Desire families." @evleaks also claims that the device HTC Zara is headed to US CDMA carrier, Sprint.
Rumours suggest that the alleged HTC Zara phone will follow the same design language as seen on the HTC One but will have a plastic body similar to HTC's Desire smartphones.
Meanwhile, HTC launched its long-awaited HTC Desire 600 dual SIM smartphone in India today at a price of Rs. 26,990. The device sports a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 display with 540x960 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing 1.6-megapixel shooter. It is a dual-SIM device with GSM+GSM support. The HTC Desire 600 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 on top with BlinkFeed and other software features, seen earlier with the HTC One.
