Blackberry announced earlier that its messenger service was going to be available on Android and iPhone devices this summer causing a stir amongst smart phone users.
However an official date was not ascertained due to pending talks with Apple and Google.
Twitter account of Blackberry Worldwide tweeted the date with a picture of the messenger running on an iPhone.

However this account is not the official account of Blackberry therefore the credibility of the news is questioned.
Blackberry's once exclusive elite messenger is set to garner a lot of installs from the non Blackberry users.
However with Whatsapp that has already penetrated the markets deeply, it will be interesting to watch how BBM scores.
