Hyundai’s i10 is among the highest selling car in its class in India. It has completely beaten Maruti’s WagonR in the market. To be true, WagonR was the market leader before Hyundai launched its car in the market, but the Korean carmaker’s low-end i10 completely overwhelmed it within no time.
There is no guess why Korean car maker, a market leader in many parts of the world has been able to beat a longstanding market leader in the local market. Hyundai cars comes with not just impressive products and to top it all with far better features than any other market player be it Maruti or anyone else. While in Maruti and Toyota the common features like power steering may come with a premium, but not in Hyundai cars and so the demand for its cars is going up and up while others are struggling in the market here.
In the meantime Hyundai’s latest hatchback Grand i10 launched in the country recently is doing exceptionally here. The latest hatchback is based on 2014 Euro-spec i10 but it comes with a bigger body than regular i10. The demand is very high and Hyundai has a long waiting list. So if you want to go for it you may well have to wait it for at least one or two months before you are able to get its delivery.
In the meantime Grand i10 automatic comes with a 1.2-liter Kappa engine with 82 bhp (85 PS) delivered through a 4-speed automatic box.
