New Delhi: Nissan has revealed sketches of the Datsun hatchback that it is expected to see its global launch on July 15 here.
The vehicle will be the first Datsun model to hit the roads in 32 years.
The images of the 5-seater, codenamed K2, suggest an aggressive, up-market look for the hatchback. Prominent exterior design elements include a chrome-lined hexagonal grille, detailed headlamps, bulging bonnet and a prominent shoulder line.
As per some reports, the tyres look small as the width of the Datsun's rear appears wider, thanks to its bulging character line.
The vehicle is expected to boast generous storage space. Powered by a different tune of the Micra’s XH5 1.2 litre three-cylinder engine, the Datsun hatch is expected to come at a price of around Rs 3.2 lakh.
